Pronoun
UK /ˈev.riˌbɒd.i/
US /ˈev.riˌbɑː.di/
Level: Easy - A1 (Beginner)

Definition

All people; everyone.

Explanation

“Everybody” means all people, no one left out. For example, “Everybody was happy at the party” means all the people felt happy. It is often used in everyday conversation to talk about groups in general. It is the same as “everyone,” but slightly more informal. “Everybody” treats all people as one group, and is followed by singular verb.
