Day

A day is the time it takes the Earth to rotate once on its axis, usually measured as 24 hours. A day is divided into morning, afternoon, evening, and night. People use days to organise their lives, work, study, and rest. For example, Monday to Sunday make up a week. A “day” can also mean a special occasion, like “birthday” or “holiday.” In conversation, it is used for both time (24 hours) and daytime (the light hours). Days are important for planning, scheduling, and measuring time.
