My Philosophy of Life and the rules I live by:
Many people compare life to different things. Some say life is like a book, where every chapter reveals a new page. Others say life is like a train that takes us to different destinations. Some believe life is like a roller coaster, full of ups and downs.
However, I see life differently. I believe that life is like a canvas. A canvas begins as a blank space, and it is up to the artist to decide what it will become. In the same way, our lives are shaped by the choices we make, the values we follow, and the actions we take every day.
This perspective gives us responsibility because our life is our own creation. The more colors we add through our experiences, relationships, dreams, and acts of kindness, the more beautiful and meaningful our canvas becomes. Therefore, it is our responsibility to bring light, purpose, and beauty into our lives.
Over time, I have developed several principles that guide the way I paint the canvas of my life.
1. Live and Let LiveThe first and most important principle I follow is "Live and Let Live."
If someone thinks badly of me or carries negative intentions toward me, I do not allow that negativity to take control of my mind. I choose not to respond with hatred, resentment, or harmful intentions. Instead, I remain true to my values and stay within the boundaries I have set for myself.
I believe that when we allow negativity to change who we are, we lose a part of ourselves. Even if we cannot make everyone happy, we should never intentionally hurt, disrespect, or harm others. Everyone is fighting battles we may never see, and kindness costs nothing.
For this reason, I choose peace over conflict whenever possible and strive to treat others with respect, regardless of how they treat me.
2. Value RelationshipsThe second principle is valuing relationships.
Meaningful relationships are among the greatest blessings in life. They make our journey richer, more joyful, and more meaningful. When we have people who genuinely care about us, we can share our thoughts, dreams, successes, and struggles without fear.
During difficult times, these relationships become a source of strength, comfort, and encouragement. They remind us that we do not have to face life's challenges alone.
These people may be our parents, siblings, spouse, children, or close friends. I am not referring to a large crowd of people. Crowds may celebrate our victories, but true relationships remain by our side when life becomes difficult.
I believe that the quality of our relationships matters far more than the quantity.
3. Respect YourselfThe third principle I follow is to respect yourself first.
Self-respect is the foundation upon which many other qualities are built. When you respect yourself, you naturally learn how to respect others. The way you treat yourself often influences the way you treat the people around you and how others choose to treat you.
Self-respect means knowing your worth, maintaining your values, and refusing to compromise your character for temporary approval. It means setting healthy boundaries and standing firm in what you believe is right.
For me, self-respect is one of the greatest gifts a person can give themselves. It is not something that appears overnight; it is earned through actions, discipline, and consistency. Every decision we make contributes to the person we become.
Therefore, I strive to make choices that align with my values and strengthen my sense of self-respect.
4. Be the Healer, Not the DestroyerThe fourth principle I follow is to be a healer, not a destroyer.
Whenever people interact with me, I want them to leave feeling more hopeful than before. I want to be a source of encouragement, positivity, and support. Life already presents enough challenges, and I believe we should contribute solutions rather than create additional problems.
If someone comes to me carrying a burden, I want them to feel understood. If someone feels discouraged, I want them to leave with renewed confidence. If someone faces difficulties, I want to remind them that there is always a path forward.
Rather than spreading negativity, criticism, or pessimism, I strive to uplift people, inspire them, and bring light into their lives. Even a few kind words can change someone's day, and sometimes even their life.
5. Give Time to YourselfThe fifth principle is giving time to yourself.
Many people spend so much time focusing on others that they forget to invest in themselves. I have learned that personal growth requires attention, effort, and time.
When you dedicate time to learning, improving your skills, taking care of your health, and developing your character, you become a stronger and more capable person. The better you become, the more value you can bring to your own life and to the lives of others.
I also believe that when you value your own time, others begin to value it as well. Instead of constantly comparing myself with others or worrying about their opinions, I try to focus on my own progress.
Growth may be slow, but every small step moves us closer to becoming the person we want to be.
6. Be Respected, Not Just LikedThe sixth principle is to be respected, not just liked.
Many people seek popularity and approval, but popularity and respect are not the same. A person may be liked for their appearance, charm, or ability to please others. Respect, however, is earned through character, integrity, hard work, and consistency.
Being respected means that people trust your values and recognize your actions. It means standing for something meaningful rather than trying to satisfy everyone.
I do not want to be remembered simply because people liked me. I want to be remembered for the values I upheld, the work I accomplished, and the positive impact I made.
For that reason, I focus on building qualities that earn genuine respect rather than temporary admiration.
7. Choose Your Company WiselyThe seventh principle is choosing your company wisely.
There is a saying that if sand is carried by the wind, it can rise high into the sky. But if the same sand remains in water, it becomes mud. In the same way, the environment we live in and the people we spend time with have a powerful influence on our thoughts, habits, and future.
The company we keep can either inspire us to grow or encourage us to remain stagnant. Positive and ambitious people challenge us to improve ourselves, think differently, and pursue greater goals.
Therefore, I try to surround myself with people who inspire growth, learning, positivity, and wisdom. At the same time, I maintain healthy boundaries with those who constantly bring negativity, drama, or discouragement into my life.
The people around us often shape the direction of our journey, which is why choosing them wisely is so important.
At the heart of everything, I believe that life is all about how we create it. Every day presents an opportunity to add new colors to our canvas through our actions, choices, relationships, and experiences.
I strive to fill my life with compassion, love, generosity, self-respect, awareness, gratitude, and fulfillment. These values help me remain connected to people, appreciate every moment, and continue growing into a better version of myself.
At the same time, I work to develop strength, confidence, and courage. These qualities help me distance myself from people who disrespect me or carry negative intentions toward me. I do not want my emotions to be controlled by such individuals. Instead, I want the strength to let go when necessary and the courage to move forward with peace and dignity.
One lesson I have learned is that self-respect must always come first. If I do not respect myself, I cannot expect others to respect me. A quote that deeply resonates with me is:
"The more you like yourself, the less you worry about being liked by others. And the less you worry, the more people will like you."
I try to apply this wisdom in my daily life.
I also believe that not everything needs to be shared with everyone. Some thoughts, dreams, and struggles are precious and deserve protection. We must learn to become our own best friend because no one can transform our lives unless we are willing to take responsibility for our own growth.
Therefore, I choose to be courageous enough to take the first step, bold enough to face my fears, wise enough to protect my peace, and grateful enough to appreciate every moment of life.
Life does not become meaningful by chance. It becomes meaningful through the choices we make every day. Each decision, relationship, and act of courage adds a new color to the canvas of our lives. My goal is to paint that canvas with purpose, kindness, strength, and gratitude so that when I look back, I can proudly say that I created a life worth living.Book Summary: "Anjana Rawat's Booklet"
Saviour of the World: Bringing Heaven to the Earth By Anjana Rawat | Variable Tribe
The World Is Broken. Four Young Souls Are Chosen.
Imagine a 21st century world drowning in chaos, evil spreading, harmony disappearing, and the constant cry for someone, anyone, to rise and fix what humans have destroyed. The world does not need an army. It needs Saviours.
And four of them are about to wake up.
Four young friends decide they cannot just watch anymore. Angel, Frah, Arya, and Krish each carry a special strength.
- Angel is the fearless one who leads from the front.
- Frah is the clear-headed visionary who always knows which direction to go.
- Arya is the one who never loses hope, even when everything looks dark.
- Krish is the peacemaker who keeps the group united and focused.
Together, they become something greater than the sum of their parts.
Their mission to heal the world is not easy. They face terrifying challenges, dangerous skies full of deadly creatures, poisonous underground caves guarded by king cobras and anacondas. Every step of the journey tries to break them. But they push through every single time, because they believe the world is worth saving.
Beneath the adventure, the book carries a deeper message. Anjana dreams of a world where people think for themselves instead of blindly following old beliefs, where families stay close and children care for their parents, where people of different religions and backgrounds live side by side in peace, and where schools teach students skills they can actually use in real life.
Most importantly, the book ends with a challenge to you, the reader. The world will not change on its own. Do not sit and wait for a hero to appear. You are the hero. Start with your family. Start with yourself. Real happiness is not found outside, it is built from within.
"Execute and see the magic."
Written by hand in a simple notebook, carried by a young writer with an extraordinary vision, this booklet is proof that world-changing ideas do not wait for perfect conditions. They just need someone brave enough to pick up a pen.
