Explanation
A person is a human being, an individual of the human species. Each person has their own thoughts, feelings, and actions. People can be children, adults, or elders. The word is used to talk about someone in general, like “a kind person” or “a tall person”. It helps us identify humans as individuals, separate from animals, objects, or groups. One human is called a person, but when we talk about more than one person, we usually say people. The word persons also exists, but it is used mostly in formal or official situations, such as public notices or legal writing. In daily conversation, people is the common and natural plural form of person.
