"(conj) : I support you, for I love you."

Explanation

For is a short word used to show purpose, benefit, time, or duration. It tells us why something happens, who it’s meant for, or how long something lasts. For example, “This gift is for you” shows purpose, “Exercise is good for health” shows benefit, “She left for school early” shows time, “he has been studying for two hours” shows duration. For can also be used as a conjunction to mean “because”, for example, “I stayed home, for it was raining.” “For” is one of the most common prepositions or conjunctions in English and helps connect ideas about goals, people, time, or actions.
