Expose

Expose means to uncover, reveal, or show something that was hidden. For example, sunlight exposes hidden colours in a painting. It can also mean showing the truth, like exposing a secret or a lie. In photography, it means allowing light to fall on film or a sensor. In daily life, expose can mean leaving something unprotected, like exposing skin to the sun.
