Explanation
A country is a large area of land with its own government, laws, and borders. Examples include India, France, or Brazil. Countries usually have flags, leaders, and systems to organise life for citizens. A country can include many cities, towns, and villages. People belong to their country through citizenship and feel pride or identity from it. Sometimes, “country” also means rural areas outside cities, such as “living in the country,” which means living in nature with fewer buildings and more farms. The word is often connected to both national identity and rural life.
